Secret Envelope Projects

To all the spiritual extreme sportists,

During a particular time period of self-testing through astrological research, I sent out hundreds of secret envelopes in the mail.  This is what came of them:

I am always accepting applicants for "envelope projects".  Secret Envelopes can be used to heal old wounds, inspire art projects, learn in depth about one's chart in "real time", etc.  What will come of the project depends on both the client's chart itself and the inquiry at hand.  Please send a packet to:

Andy Gehrz
Astrological Detective
PO Box 17591
Portland, OR 97217-0591

The price for envelopes is $20 each or 6/$100.  You can order as little or as many as you want.

Please include in your envelope:

1. Birth date, birth time, birth location
2. Your mailing address
3.  A question, a summary of your "woes", or a "statement of intent".   (please keep this to one page, handwritten)
4.  A check or money order for the correct amount

I look forward to your earthly and non-earthly conundrums.

xo, Andy

The textbook that surprised me...

Two yeas ago, I translated a book called An Introduction to the Tetrabiblos of Ptolemy because I wanted to see "what it said".  It wasn't until after I published the book that I went back and read it with fresh eyes.  It was then that I realized that this text, written by Porphyry of Tyre, functions as a very basic and clear beginning textbook into ancient astrology.  In a sense, it teaches the reader *how* the ancient Greek astrologers perceived the heavens.  I truly hope that this text finds its way into the hands of those who might find it of use.  It won second place in the "Independent Book Publishing Awards" in the Philosophy and Classics category.   Here is a link to the book itself:

Enjoy!

Note to Saturn

Dearest Saturn,

"Extreme Greek Sightreading" is an imperfect art.  Please don't judge me while I try to get better.  I'm trying to build a cohesive structure of thought here.

Thank you kindly,

Andy

Greek Word of the Day

πρόσωπον (pros-oh-pon) = one's persona or facade.

This term was used in relation to a literal "mask" used in the theater in ancient Greece.  The mask was made of wood and often had a wig attached to it as well.  This would cover the whole actor's head.

This term is also used as the astrological term "decan".

This term can also be used in relation to the "facade" of a person, or the "face" they put on, such as:

"A native with a Venus square Neptune in the natal chart could encounter disappointments in love on account of the πρόσωπον of a woman."
