The textbook that surprised me...

Two yeas ago, I translated a book called An Introduction to the Tetrabiblos of Ptolemy because I wanted to see "what it said".  It wasn't until after I published the book that I went back and read it with fresh eyes.  It was then that I realized that this text, written by Porphyry of Tyre, functions as a very basic and clear beginning textbook into ancient astrology.  In a sense, it teaches the reader *how* the ancient Greek astrologers perceived the heavens.  I truly hope that this text finds its way into the hands of those who might find it of use.  It won second place in the "Independent Book Publishing Awards" in the Philosophy and Classics category.   Here is a link to the book itself:
